György Ligeti - Poème Symphonique For 100 Metronomes

Ligeti describes Micropolyphony using the following "composition".

Is that Music?

He uses micropolyphony in other works, that fortunately sound more musical.

Ligeti also composed 0'00" - a piece that lasts for 0 seconds, to mock John Cage 4'33" - a piece that lasts for 4 min and 33 seconds. Cage piece is famous for its blank score where the performancer doesnt play anything, while music comes from the sounds made from the audience.
