Youths of Innocence

Mission accomplished! It hadn't been so hard to organise something, if not for all of our untimely schedules and committments. It was a blast outing, starting with a swim at my house, followed by dinner at chompchomp, and finally settling down at Ice Cube, where we broke out into a climax of racuous laughter reminiscencing about the past, that is etched with 'evil deeds' and silly antics often with disastrously comical results.

At my house, there were certain objects of interest, of which none I will mention, but it is on the lines of materialistic pleasures. We were already running late, and I was praying very hard that chompchomp will not be so crowded. We happened to meet Ben on the bus (anyway, this has happened to me many times before when I had to meet someone at Serangoon Gardens), and poor tiredly looking Shaz, who started enlivening the minds of our young nation at 7am today, was already waiting for us impatiently at the busstop. And not to mention, his dose of bad luck today, ranging from a flat battery, to having to touch a sticky public phone, did not add to the misery for having to wait for 4 late comers.

Mad Rush for food at Chompchomp @ Serangoon Gardens Village. Benjamin's Kangkong that should have been substituted for something like "La La" or "gong gong"!

"MAGIC POTION" - Sorbet with Liquer. I greatly recommend trying it.

Shazz wanted a mike, so he could croon to Mariah's slow ballads.

Absolute nonsense of the past:

a) Phlegm explusion leading to "what's that?" discovery
b) Home Economics cuisine "fried and burnt" in OHP
c) Book flying in mid air
d) Calculator in drain
e) Dictionaries proving the law of gravity by plummeting down 3 storeys
f) "xiao long nu" antics in the toilet, including weird fantasies of befitting characters of "xiao long nu" and "yang guo" - to form the ultimate "yu nu xing jing"
g) Nightmare in Home Economics Room Script (Kelvin's brainchild)
h) Mud splash at Jln Batera Camp
i) Yuppi Hamburger haul at Bald Man's Head

Did we start talking about a certain :

a) Bean head
b) Chucky
c) Halloween Mask
d) Aids Patient
e) All the wonderful animals - bunnygirl, otter, cat, camel, turtle, horseface, moonface, statue

Sometimes, it just feels so great not having to pretend what you're not, especially not being too conscious of what others think about you, and having to build a wall of foretress. It was a night where I could just feel so free, to be myself, enjoying the company of old friends and laughing my head off just at the mention of the past antics. At least, I know there will be a core of old friends whom I can always fall back on. THANK YOU for the fantastic outing!

I am so certain that I ended my holidays with raucous laughter!

Now it suddenly occurred to me that Shaz has been the "modell du jour" in the photos.
