... and finally, I received my HIV-test blood results back. I took the blood sample during the first week of January, and 4 weeks later, the blood results were not back! The others who took the blood sample the same day as me, got theirs back already. What about me? Did the blood sample go missing? I got it back on the 4th. and guess what... Questlab apparently sent it for extra testing, urm yes called the "Western Blot" test, a blood test for the DNA of HIV. For all my 2 years there, I have never encountered that, and it happened to me. Why they sent it for further testing I have no idea, maybe for the "Elias" test, a test for an enzyme by HIV, the test result yielded positive. So according to "Elias" test I was HIV-positive! However, "Western Blot" confirmed that I was HIV-negative. Whether or I was positive for "Elias" test I donot know, the blood result never came back.
Things have to happen like this when I'm about to ORD. This isn't the 1st thing anyway. My last medical cover, was for SOC. and there were 4 casualties! In my whole life, I have not received a single casualty when I'm on solo-cover, but this time it had just to happen to my last cover. The 1st casualty was an extremely deep laceration to the shin, that required 3 stitches. The last time he came back, it was still swollen. The 2nd casualty was a "Shortness of Breath" case, 3rd was sprained ankle, 4th was a shoulder contusion. Phew, it was more fortunate that Dr Melvin called me when I was at cover, and I implored(!!!) him to come over. Thank goodness he was still around.
