In his most desperate attempt, ComicReader has decided to pick up Japanese, after some of my influence that he should learn Japanese since he is so interested in Anime, Manga and Japanese Pornography. Come to think of it, his mind-less naviety is fun to manipulate.

The poor fellow thinks he is some kind of Japanese wunderbar whizkid? He told me his little secret one day : That has has purchased a children Japanese storybook to read after learning the language for about 2 weeks? Yes, readers, you read that correctly TWO weeks. Now, what should I call this. Naviety? Naive that a language can be learned so easily?

Why does he think that he will understand the Japanese cartoons without English subtitles one day with his self-study progressing in a self-denial fast pace? I feel very hypocritical now, but I don't know how to break the shattering news to him that he will never be able to understand any conversational language unless you speak and listen to it for 24/7 for about 3 weeks? My friends who learn French and Japanese for 6 years, read the newspapers with suprising difficulty and they can't really catch the conversations in French movies, what about this self-study self denial samurai wannabe?

His "Only-Child" syndrome is gradually manifesting itself, evident from his naivety(again), his inability to accept loses graciously, and his over optimism in the damned land of green overalls, mud and soil.

He has already shocked the world by purchasing 3 dictionaries, 1 coursebook. What other surprising antics is he going to spring next?
